How we’re working while the COVID 19 Alert Level system is in place.

As a supplier, we want to assist you in the healthy and safe delivery of business throughout this period. As the alert levels go up and down, our way of working with you will adapt.

Below, we communicate our business continuity arrangements, but firstly and most importantly we wish you and your loved ones the best of health.

Physical Separation

We are taking steps in our personal and professional lives to reduce the risk of community transmission and to lessen the load on the nation’s resources. Our changes include:

  • Working from home.
  • Stopping all unnecessary travel and physical meetings with clients, or at Alert Level 4, stopping all travel and physical meetings with clients.
  • Encouraging video conferencing where practical (see below for systems in use).

Business Continuity

We are very aware of the importance of Council’s role in delivering core services and maintaining civil order.  Utility will continue to work on existing projects until advised.  If this changes, and we anticipate it will, we will provide whatever support we can in whichever way you need it. Our skills are many and varied, and we know your networks well.  So please don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it.

Business Systems

Utility was deliberately established as a business that can operate remotely. This was originally to offer financial, environmental and time efficiencies, but we now we find we’re also well set up for this global pandemic. Our systems are internet/cloud based and our offices (both work and home) are served by fast and reliable broadband.

Rest assured we can continue to provide a high quality and efficient service to you whilst in physical isolation. Being small, means we can adapt fast, so please tell us if there are systems your organisation uses that you would like us to get up to speed with. We already use, or can use, the following:
